We also offer black aluminum pathlights if that is the aesthetic you are going for.
The reason these lights have hats is to help direct the light downward by these style glare guards it helps to promote a circular lighting effect directed to the ground in a 360 degree effect. G4’s are used in these lights which are 360 degree bulbs to help to accentuate the perfect lighting needed for a landscape. We offer 2 styles of G4’s for our pathlights and selected these styles because they work seamlessly with our lights and are not too bright for your landscape lighting design.

Path lights are more noticeable than spotlights and for this reason, they need to be attractive and provide a decorative, yet understated look while balancing the illumination in the intended areas. Some areas of interest can be highlighted more significantly, while other areas can be minimized so that the desired appearance is achieved. This can be done by selecting the proper hat size of a path light as well as making sure the height of the path light is appropriate for what you are highlighting. A majority of our stems are 18 inches and can always be installed deeper into the ground if a lower height is desired.

Security: Security is always a focus when in comes to owning a home. Any added lighting to a yard will help ward off uninvited guests. LED pathway lights are used for walkways and paths not only to help navigate through and outdoor space but offer a measure of security as well. Path lights are also great way to create traffic boundaries in your landscape design.
Path lights are staked into the ground for durability. When installing these lights it is important to space them out so they are equal distance apart on each side of your path. Be sure to alternate the lighting install so they are not directly across from each on path or walkway. It is also good to remember not to place these lights too close together to be sure you make the most use of each fixture.
Ways Path Lights are Used
- Garden Lighting: You spent all that time on your garden. There is no reason not to let is shine at night as brightly as it shines in the day. Whether your green thumb allows for a flower garden or an edible garden path lights are the perfect light to showcase all of your hard work in the evening. Forget to pick the tomatoes during the day for your salad your are prepping for dinner? When you have pathlights illuminating your garden at night there will be no mistake where the tomatoes are located to pick for that last minute addition to your salad from your organic, edible garden.
- Pathlights & Walkways: The best way to create a welcoming feel to the entrance to your home from the street to your front door or your driveway to the front door is pathway lighting. Allowing your guests to easily navigate to your front door while also encouraging them not to walk through the landscape or grass you work so hard on throughout the year. Less foot traffic on your hard work and more foot traffic and the brilliantly guided path delicately lit by path lights.
- Entrance and Exit to your home or building: This has been explained above but what we did not mention is the exit and entrance to your backdoor. Path lighting is also great to use along the side of your house to get to the side gate entering your backyard. It is also great to use lighting paths in your backyard.
- Protect landscape and create barriers: Don’t let all of your hard work get ruined by foot traffic. Tell your guests how to walk through your landscape by providing the proper lighting.
- Visual Appeal: There is no denying it. Everything lit up is better. It makes spaces look better, feel better, create a better ambiance and directs the eye to the most important places in a landscape.
